Daniel Griswold

Family:

Dan is married to Amanda Dawn since 2003 and we welcomed our son Ransom to our family in 2014 and our daughter Harper in 2017.

Background:

As the newest Church Planting Pastor for the Global Methodist Church of South Carolina Dan has been called to reach the Summerville/metro-Charleston area for Jesus Christ. Particularly the Cane Bay,  Nexton, Carnes Crossroads triangle of development in Summerville. We’re calling our developing fellowship the “Lowcountry Church Plant”.

Pastor Dan pastored Methodist Churches in rural and city for 10 years. His experience in ministry started in Youth Ministry in Saint Augustine while at Flagler College, continued in Seminary at Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA while attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary for his Masters of Divinity, and continued to Saint Andrew By-The-Sea UMC on Hilton Head, SC as he discovered the writings of John Wesley and spent 7 years working toward ordination as a Methodist Elder (Provisional Elder 2015, Full Elder 2017). His first appointment was the three point Ridgeville Charge and during Covid was appointed to North Charleston United Methodist Church.  In 2024 the Lord called Dan to serve in the newly forming Global Methodist Church of South Carolina and is currently serving as a church planter in Summerville, SC.

Bachelors in Religion and Philosophy - Flagler College (2005) in Saint Augustine, FL.

Master’s of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (2009) in South Hamilton, MA.  Current degree Program: Theological Masters (ThM) in Missiology.

Speaking on Evangelism:

Virtual Evangelism” online at a conference of Moscow Methodist Seminary, and later spoke on “Evangelism in Digital Worlds” at the Order of the Flame Reunion in October 2021 at Christ Church in Memphis.  This involvement has been life giving and I’ve discerned a desire to grow Evangelists and Revival Preachers through cohorts, revivals, church planting, and educational training and practicums.
